Racing Game Progress


Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share my progress on the racing game project I've been working on.

Since the last devlog I have:

  • Improved the HUD/UI + added a nitrous mechanic
  • Added a new barrier tool with an instanced static mesh and a spline that can be manipulated and placed on the curves of the track


  • Changed the way the game starts and ends, as well as create sequences for winning and losing and implemented them in the UI.
  • Finished the test track with checkpoints and environment set


  • Added more vehicle models but I have yet to program them with driving mechanics and sounds

On the list of tasks I have to :

  • Program the new cars
  • Create a street race level 
  • Add and program AI vehicles for the races
  • Improve steering/drifting
  • Possibly add a drag race level 
  • Improved SFX for driving and collisions
  • (Potential) Car Customization
